CONCERT: Young the Giant - Home of the Strange Tour - Irvine, CA

Erm...I am indeed posting this a month later lmao

Young the Giant
Fivepoint Amphitheatre, Irvine, CA
Thu, Oct 5, 7PM

Capacity: 12k

This concert was actually supposed to be in August but it got moved to October due to construction on the venue.
It was actually pretty terrible trying to get out of the venue with all of the unpaved lot; every car was covered in dust.
There was only one lane to the main road that took forever to get in and out.
But anyway.

Sir Sly and Coldwar Kids opened the show.
We were too late for Sir Sly so we just walked around the grass outside of the bleachers.
There's a huge setup of tents for food, just one merch stand and a ton of smaller carts.
There were also tables and games on the grass.
The venue's pretty nice but I don't really like outdoor venues as much hehe.
(My pictures also come out extra bad lmao)

Hmmm Coldwar Kids were alright, I didn't realize I only knew two songs hahha.
Pretty good though.

Uhhhhh Sameer is a great dancer.

Overall the concert was fun.
I really liked seeing everyone wave their arms in sync with Sameer.
It wasn't the greatest stage presence, maybe because we were pretty far away and the layout of the venue doesn't really give an intimate vibe.
They performed songs from all over their discography.
It was a nice throwback ♥
