I'm barely writing this two weeks after the concerts.
I totally messed up but let's see what I can recall...
I had like a whole week to do last minute prep because I was finally done with TNF anniversary stuff.
Gonna write this out step by step for future reference, lmao.
Have to look through my notebook!
Shoes
I wanted to make sure to have really comfortable (but good looking!) shoes.
Pegasus too bulky and also I have no self control so I got some Nike Racers ~$160 total.
Now that I've written that, I just realized how much I really spent preparing for the concert lmao.
The shoes are totally worth it, imo.
I'm obsessed with wearing them and they're super comfortable.
Worked really well with the amount of standing I had to do.
My feet felt sore at the end of the day but I'd be surprised if they didn't!
I felt pretty good with them in the end, thank goodness.
They're super dirty now since I've worn them so much in the past month.
Portable Charger
A must.
I went to Fry's electronics the week before and got one with 10k mAh.
My Nexus 5X is about 3K mAh so it gives at least 3 full charges to my phone.
This one is super cool cause it has a C-type slot along with the micro USB and USB slots.
Perfect for me so I can use just one kind of cable since the C-type can give output and input.
Literally just took this pic lmao.
Also very sleek, the same size as my phone.
I taped it up so it doesn't get scratched, I think I might get a case for it.
Be's is the same capacity for $20 Amazon.
I got this for $35, picked up a new C-type to USB cable.
$$$ omg

A note that I need to make because I realized it later on while writing.
Make sure to charge fully before having to go into the venue so that you don't have to charge during the concert!
Or at least if you bring it in, be done charging by the time the concert starts.
Another note, need to make sure that I wipe the camera lens on my phone so I don't end up with a million pictures that have a huge glare on them from the lights.
Bracelets
Random thing I thought of like 5 days before the concert.
I wanted to find people giving things out and wanted to give something back to them so I made these!
Morse code member initials.
I made myself one of my middle name and SUGA before so these were easy to start!
I bought some new materials from Joann's.
I wish I could have made more but oh well.
I'm too shy to find random people anyway.
Snacks
About $25 for just snacks. Yikes.
So...granola is probably not something that I wanted to eat.
I think the dry snacks in general were not that appealing.
The hot dog buns were good so things from 85 Bakery would probably be a good choice.
Cuties was definitely a good choice and the fruit leather was good.
Idk, I wasn't too worried about food but I probably did buy too much.
Next time maybe just a few breads, 1-2 bags chips/salty, 1 bag cuties, and 1 box fruit leather.
Maybe split the cuties up since it was over the course of two days.
I liked putting these little pouches together though!
We also went to have a late lunch at Lazy Dog Restaurant/Bar.
Had pasta and cajun fries.
Probably should choose the nearest place next time!
Oh that was another thing I was working on a lot, the meetup.
I should probably talk to people and walk around a bit more and make sure everyone is good.
Gotta learn how to be a good hostess lmao.
The actual concert day...
Honestly think I did really well to prepare for this overall considering how many people I had to take care of and all the shit I needed to make sure about.
I think I slept like 3 hours because idk, so exciting, of course.
Picked Lauren up at 6AM.
Went down to Irvine to pick up Diana.
Actually watched the sun rise.
Got to Diana ~ 6:45AM.

We were at the venue by 7:30AM.
Parking was to the northeast side of the venue, $20.
There weren't many cars parked there so we were parked pretty close to the venue entrance.
I hate that people can't tell directions...
I couldn't really take a look but there was a ton of people waiting on the west side of the building already.
It was kind of a disaster.
We had no idea where to go for merch but we were in a good place where we were waiting.
Luckily, coming from the northeast side was exactly where we needed to be.
There was some crazy shit about getting on the northern wall so people were running to get there.
We ran too when we didn't need to lmao. Awk.
It was the line for the pit.
We got in line for merch and it wasn't even set up so we just started making the line in two directions.
Merch started at 11AM and although we were pretty freaking close, it took 30 mins to get to the front.
Hoodies and caps sold out right before I got there.
I got the V2 ARMY bomb and a large shirt.
After that, we got into another giant line for the BTS studio booths.
The line started earlier than the established 1PM, so maybe 12:30PM.
You take a survey and when you get to the table, you give them your email address.
The survey asks questions like what group did you like first, your favorite things about BTS, their music, etc.
I guess so that they can establish and follow what the fanbase likes.
They give you an OT7 postcard and let you choose a ball from the box.
White, you just get the card.
Orange, you get to take a picture in the hologram booth.
I took this pic of the postcard at 1:30PM.
I didn't even realize that I drew the winning ball at first.
I was too busy laughing at the table guy cause Diana screamed so loud when she drew orange that he was affected by it.
But yeah, got in line again!
Not really sure what time it was when we finished taking the picture but I think it was probably like 2PM?
Walked around a little to find people giving things out.
I have a pic on my day 2 post.
We found a ton of banners and actually found @BONBONNIERE9397 with the Suga and JK banner and fans!
So happy about that one because the picture on the Suga fan is sooooooo nice.
Went to the meetup by 3:30PM.
They took so freaking long to take our order...
We were back to the venue by 6:10PM and parted ways with everyone.
Ah, discord...
Went back to the car to get ready.
I brought a teeny purse to keep my cards and stuff in.
Also brought portable charger, which is foolish because I should have charged it before going inside so that I wouldn't have to deal with it.
Also brought a lanyard with a clear case so I could slip my phone into it and not worry about pockets.
Good to have a jacket to put stuff in but it got hot standing/jumping around after a while.
In our seats.
The 4th floor of Honda Center, pretty much.
It's pretty steep and scary.
The Forum is less steep that this and seats more, I think.
They played like all of the MVs, in order of release too.
Except for Run, it was played twice in between something...Fire?
I teared up a little just listening to everyone singing along.
The togetherness is so beautiful...
At 8PM they play Spring Day.
Then a VCR.
I had a hard time watching the VCRs from this angle so I guess I can talk about it in the Day 2 post!
Not Today.
The curtain drops and they're standing on a platform at the back of the main stage.
I am literally watching/listening to cams from Seoul while I write this to try to remember lmao.
The staging for Seoul was freaking insane, pulled all the stops, honestly.
They walk forward and start!
Definitely not as many backup dancers as Seoul.
Maybe 1/3 as many?
Greetings.
This is kinda where it starts to sink in like oh shit, we're here.
Still a very unreal feeling, like I'm just watching a screen but they're literally there in front of us.
Totally crazy.
This person's ARMY bomb turned green!
For like two songs or something?
I really wish they did the controlled bombs for these shows.
I just saw it for Not Today in Seoul and it is so cool...
Am I Wrong.
Baepsae.
Dope.
I like that I practiced the choreo for these that I could follow along just a little bit, lmao.
Begin.
I felt a weird, well not weird, just unexpected sense of pride watching him perform this.
The dance is incredible and I was just really happy seeing him perform.
Lie.
Jimin's voice and dance, absolutely amazing.
I still have yet to fall in love with Jimin the way I have with the rest of the members, to be honest.
I could feel myself appreciating him more watching this though.
Just the thought of how much work he put into this performance and his amazing voice.
First Love.
My bias, yes.
I was just frozen.
The song isn't one of my favorites.
In fact, I don't even listen to a lot of his solo work.
There's just something scary and maybe even painful about it to me.
But I barely even moved during his performance.
Just taking it in.
Perfect.
I think I just want to describe everything about the concert as perfect.
Their performance, their voices, just everything.
I was not let down at all.
They were everything I expected them to be if not more.
Lost.
Gah, I really need to see the full choreography for thing song.
I love it so much.
Vocal line appeared on the extended stage for this one.
So so happy.
Save Me.
I Need U.
VCR.
This BGM was a mix of Path/Road and it is so beautiful.
Reflection.
I am really surprised at myself but this performance made me cry.
I didn't expect it at all.
I just thought about him saying I wish I could love myself and I thought about myself for some reason.
It just hit me at that moment and I just wanted to break down.
But I remembered him saying that he doesn't feel that way any more so I just found strength again.
Which is a different song but still.
All in a split second, it was really crazy.
Smiling through my tears.
My favorite solo performance.
Thank you, Namjoon.
You inspire me.
Stigma.
Well done, Tae.
Honestly, I wasn't sure how the high note would be but he did a great job.
Like really, it was amazing.
I love this song and I love Tae Tae, haha.
MAMA.
This was my favorite performance when I was listening to the Seoul concerts so I was looking forward to it a lot.
It didn't leave the same impression on me from the first time I heard it but it was still such an energetic performance.
I think Hobi was the most radiant both concert days.
It was definitely really fun to watch.
He started from the extended stage and moved back to the main stage, unlike the rest of the solos which were all on the main stage.
Awake.
I really thought I would cry during this one but I didn't haha!
I teared up the first time I heard it ever though.
It was really nice to sing along to this.
Cypher 4.
My favorite of all the performances, I think.
It is just so much fun jumping with them and shouting everything out.
And they're just so in their element.
Incredible.
Fire.
We did a Fire Ocean with the ARMY Bombs!
N.O., No More Dream, Boy in Luv, Danger, Run.
They began to move from the extended stage to the main stage.
These songs were definitely so easy to sing to because, well, they're classic.
Run was so cute and there was a burst of gold streamers at the second start of the chorus.
I love things like that so much, haha.
21st Century Girl.
Back at the main stage.
Boy Meets Evil.
Blood Sweat & Tears.
The "last song".
Ah, there was a really beautiful intro segment to it, too.
We did a good bit of cheering until the screen changed and started play a VCR.
The BGM was YNWA.
I really need to watch that one again too, somehow barely paid attention lmao.
We started making the rainbow ocean, too early, actually, supposed to be for 2!3!.
Wings: Outro.
I actually started crying a little during this song, too.
Which was really surprising.
Not one of my favorites from the album but I guess it started getting to me that it was ending soon.
I love the little dance-off part.
2!3!
Such a beautiful song to sing along to.
Spring Day.
I cried the first time I heard this song too, lmao.
The choreography is really beautiful, of course.
It was really interesting watching it from the side like this.
I felt so happy listening and singing with everyone.
I thought I might feel sad but I didn't at all.
Just really content.
Like my heart might burst, haha.
Cliche but true.
I'm just gonna say it here cause I'm thinking about it but the VCRs for the concert seemed to draw from Spring Day.
Or elements from the MV, at least.
Jungkook is the main character, the members are around but seem to be drifting away, etc.
They were really beautiful and the music was amazing/fitting to the concept.
Overall, the lighting for all of the stages was really spectacular.
The VCRs were beautiful and fitting.
The YNWA VCR was a little different from the regular VCRs but the concept was different, too.
It was a montage of behind the scenes and other old footage.
Not just story telling but a mashup of their history.
And yeah, I'll say it again lmao.
Their sound was almost always perfect in terms of being able to hear them and their stability.
There was probably only a few times where you might not have been able to hear their voices as well but very small things.
I had to laugh when Suga held his mic out for his whole verse.
I wasn't even surprised.
Their presence was great and I'm literally like a mile away.
More on that in Day 2 post.
The show ended around 10:30PM and we left the venue a little past 11PM.
Got home around 12:30PM, took a shower and got to Huy's around 2:30AM after buying food.
We went to a 24 hour Lee's Sandwiches after buying some random Mexican food lmao.
I think that's it for day 1!
Finally.
Okay I just freaking got emotional just watching Hobi's MAMA performance in Newark, gah.
Why am I all jumbled up like this lmao.
